Kohinoor दुनिया के सबसे प्रसिद्ध और विवादित हीरों में से एक है। इसका नाम फ़ारसी भाषा से लिया गया है, जिसका मतलब है “रोशनी का पर्वत” (Mountain of Light)। यह हीरा भारत से मिला था और इसका इतिहास लगभग 5000 साल पुराना माना जाता है।
कहां मिला था?
Kohinoor सबसे पहले आंध्र प्रदेश के गोलकुंडा खदानों से निकला था। यह हीरा मुग़लों, फ़ारसियों, अफ़ग़ानों और सिखों के हाथों में रहा।
इतिहास में इसका सफर
इसे मुगल बादशाह बाबर ने भी अपनी किताब में जिक्र किया है।
नादिर शाह ने भारत पर आक्रमण करके इसे अपने साथ फारस ले गया और वहीं इसका नाम “Koh-i-Noor” पड़ा।
महाराजा रणजीत सिंह के पास यह हीरा लंबे समय तक रहा।
बाद में अंग्रेजों ने इसे पंजाब से अपने कब्जे में लेकर ब्रिटेन भेज दिया।
अभी Kohinoor कहां है?
यह हीरा अब ब्रिटेन के Royal Collection में है और पारंपरिक रूप से Queen Consort के मुकुट में लगाया जाता है।
क्यों है विवादित?
भारत, पाकिस्तान, ईरान और अफगानिस्तान सभी इस हीरे पर अपना दावा करते हैं। भारत इसे अपनी ऐतिहासिक धरोहर मानता है और वापस मांगता है।

वजन: लगभग 105 कैरेट (पहले इससे भी बड़ा था, बाद में तराशा गया)
रंग: साफ, पारदर्शी
मूल्य: अमूल्य—इसकी कीमत का अनुमान लगाना भी मुश्किल है।
